It goes without saying, every Razorback fan in the Nation are very happy with the start of this season. Sam Pittman has drug the Razorbacks back into the national conversation in college football. Coach Pittman has also taken a group of kids who had no confidence, and made them believe in themselves! With all that being said, we have a long ways to go to be a winning football team in the SEC.
Areas of Concern
Top 5 Issues The Razorbacks Must Fix!
#1 – Defensive Fatigue
As a team, we make a lot of mistakes on both sides of the ball. Obviously, our Defense is one of the best in the nation, but unless we fix several Offensive issues, our Defense will get worn down by the season, injuries will add up, and the wheels will come off. We must do a better job managing the clock, and giving our Defense time to rest. I know that is easier said than done, but failure to address this issue can sink the season.
The bottom line is, we need to be able to run the more when needed and a lot of these issues go away. But in order for that to happen, the other issues listed below must be addressed!
#2 – WR/RB Situational Awareness
#3 – Franks Must Make Quicker Decisions
#4 – Tackling
#5 – Offensive Line
Yes, I know we are under-sized for the SEC, but size isn;t everything and on many downs the O-line play is slow and sloppy. We often have a speed advantage, but we are slow coming off the ball and those fraction of seconds is what seperates having a running game, and not. We’ve also seen communication issues between the Coaches, O-line, and QB, which is a recipe for disaster! The GOOD news is that all of this is fixed with practice and disipline. I’m confident that if an everyday “joe” like me sees these issues, Coach Pittman does too.
